So over 3 years since my last blog post about my Wolves. I've not been as active as I'd wanted to be, but will be posting more pics and info about my troops as I'm now actively playing on a weekly basis in an escalation league at Oregon Trail Games.
Pics and info to come soon.

WIP: Ragnar's Great Company...of legs.
Thought I would throw a pic of this up here while it's covering my desk, this is all of the legs from all the kits including all the devestator squads and the one tac squad (and 5 assembled swiftclaws in the middle, for a total of 92 more marines to assemble.
This doesn't include the 2 packs of grey hunters, 1 pack of scouts, 1 pack of swiftclaws, 1 pack of claws, and 2 packs of long fangs already assembled...
Total count of non-terminator marines will be 147 plus Ragnar, and a couple of other random pieces, and that's not inlcuding 10 bikes, 10 cavalry, and 6 speeders...
And the mound of boxes of the armor to still assemble, I've only got two razorbacks, the land raider, and one whirlwind ready to go so far, still have to do all the drop pods, and the rest of the transports...I'm certifiably nuts methinks.

WIP: Dreadnought and Wolf Guard
Shocking, but here's proof I'm actually painting finally...three Wolf Guard in TDA. and the first of three dreads that I have assembled. Dread is much further along than the WG, but all are progressing. Most of the stuff I did on the dreadnought was proof of concept to make sure that my technique I'm using works on large flat surfaces before I start doing vehicles, and just to play with different color combos and whatnot to see if I like them. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the looks on this guy, and he'll have a virtual twin with some slight variations on him, and then a venerable one from Forge World to round out the trio.
The Guard units came out pretty nice, I have a lot more of them to assemble, right now I only have 8 ready to go, 5 of which are the the unit of double wolf claws which were highly amusing playtesting them against Aaron's ork army.

Not dead, just busy...
So there's been a lot of assembling going on, no painting sadly, but we're getting close to a massive paint-o-rama of the first 2000 points or so. Converted a wolf guard terminator last night into a wolf priest, going to get him based and ready to prime today and start working on him, as well as the first two packs of grey hunters.
Pics to come soon.

Ok, so a few more minor acquisitions...
Soooo, I said I was done, and I almost am now.
So I picked up 10 wolves to convert to Thunderwolf Cav from James MrDandy.com, they look freaking awesome and should really help round out the army as a whole. I've been searching around for wolves to use, and I can't use them in sanctioned GW tourneys, but I can use them everywhere else, woot. I might pick up one more from him to use as a mount for a wolf lord, we'll see if I like them as much as I think I am going to once I have them all assembled and painted and ready to roll.
In addition to that, I picked up the last two standard dreadnoughts I need, as well as one more battlebox since I am one drop pod down, and I'll use the rest of the sprues to customize the bike squad and the wolf cavalry that's coming.
So my army will be around 7500ish points now total. Not that I'm ever going to field it all at once (but wouldn't that be freaking awesome), but it will allow me to tweak my lists at will and play with different combinations.
Off to Atlanta on Sunday, so spending time with the kids tomorrow and probably not working on the army at all until after I get back on the 4th, and then only home for a week and I'm off to California for a partial week for a class there...yeah, little grey men have to take a back seat to work and family, but I'll survive, and so will they...
